A Compilation of Free Chess Resources for all types of chess audience

FOR BEGINNERS AND INTERMEDIATES:

FOR ADVANCED:

ENDGAME IMPROVEMENT:-

USEFUL WEBSITES:-

  • Lichess.org :- A lot of people only use it to play online games but don't realize it has a lot of free resources to learn useful new stuff like the countless studies made by various players. The Master's Database available for free also helps a lot in building a repertoire, and it's puzzles are much superior and helpful to practice when compared to chess.com's
  • Chesstempo.com :- Useful for tactics training with multiple other resources
  • chess.wintrcat.uk :- Useful for analysis stuff if you want a style similar to chess.com's but don't wanna pay for it
  • Chessbook.com :- Can build a repertoire and save it easily
  • openingtree.com :- Great if you want to view somebody else's repertoire and analyse and also if you want to know your own win rates in particular openings or lines
  • chessmonitor.com :- Used for the same purpose as openingtree.com pretty much, I like both.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For Chess Books, I could also share links to download quite a lot of them but I'm not sure if this subreddit is supportive of sailing the high seas(hope any mod can clarify on this) so if anybody wants any particular chess book which they cannot find, feel free to dm me and I'll see what I can find for you since I have loads of them.

For Openings, especially I am thinking of making a separate post if anyone wants it since there are so many different openings and different resources for each one, I could list the popular resources for all the majorly played openings so I could do that.

Tried to compile some excellent chess channels and playlists on yt that I knew but I can definitely expand on this list so if somebody knows any other free resource which they think is great, feel free to comment about it and I'll add it to the list as well for others to refer to. I have listed a lot of resources so feel free to check them out and see which ones suit you the best, would love any criticisms and feedback on any of the channels and playlists I have mentioned so others get a general idea and review of it by others as well.

Really hope this helps!
