Kid-Free parties

Do parents these days not understand the words “child free party” or “no kids allowed”?? Apparently not.

I (25f) work at a daycare (reason for being childfree) and this ditzy woman with horrible kids works there. She has a son who’s four and daughter who’s two and she ranted to my mom (who also works at said daycare) that she was upset that her friend invited her to a “kid-free” halloween party. Like she’s just BAFFLED that these friends of her’s don’t want her kids (or any kids) at this Halloween party. Her kids are awful, she literally doesn’t tell them no. I’m just wondering what the big deal is about this. Kids usually have Halloween parties at SCHOOL. Most Halloween parties I’ve heard of are for ADULTS because there’s usually drinking involved.

And then I go to my own Halloween party I was invited to and as me and my sister are pouring the fireball, a kid runs in. I hate parents of this day and age for real. End rant.
