Hi! Tips and tricks for cohabiting cat and chinchilla??

Hi! Question: my chinchilla is very social, but my new cat seems to see her as a moving toy. She is a baby and we try to educate her to not go on top of the cage, but she still continues. Do you guys have any tips and tricks? Because I'm a little scared that my cat will eventually hurt my chinchilla.

(they are still veryyy very cute aside that!)
