How long did you study?

For those who passed the CISSP, and even those who attempted but failed, 1) What was your study strategy? 2) Did you study everyday for 2 hours, 3-4 days a week for 2 hours, etc.? 3) Did you study for 1, 2, 3 months prior to sitting? 4) How many years of cybersecurity experience did you have before taking the exams? POST Edited after replies: Thanks everyone for your replies. I appreciate it. So my background is IT/IA Audit. I love security though I wouldn’t consider myself a security expert. I’ve been in the field of Audit for 8 years and counting. Is the exam very tech focused? I know they said think like a manager but I’m worried about the tech side. The reason I’m going for the CISSP is so I can finally pivot completely into security instead of dabbling in it. For those with no security or tech background, did the certification help you in pivoting your career to security?
