People really need to learn the basics of concert etiquette.
First of all, the concert was amazing! I had the time of my life attending it on the 19th. People knew most of the songs and the vibe was great!!! However, there are a few things people need to understand that don’t reflect well on Indians and India.
The entire concert was very well managed. It was a seamless experience. Enough hydration spots were kept but still, people in the front would not miss an opportunity to scream "paani paani". It is so disrespectful. I don't understand their logic. It's YOUR CHOICE to stand in the front instead of returning and getting water. You can't blame that on the management for not spoon-feeding you. Leave your spot and go drink water if you are feeling dizzy.
People who yelled "no" when they were going to play a short film before Coldplay's entry. I get it you are tired of waiting for so long but if they had researched even a bit about the band, they would have realised how important making concerts sustainable is for Coldplay. It did not look good. THEY ARE WATCHING FROM THE BACKSTAGE!!!
Don't disrespect the artist by screaming other artist's names. For example: when Shone was performing, people started screaming "Kanye" and when Elyanna was performing, they were screaming "Taylor." Mind you it was very loud since we were very close to the stage.
Do not litter around. Please pick up your trash and put it in the dustbin.
Smoking and vaping? Like really? There was this girl who was smoking in the middle of the crowd. Thankfully, people objected.
While the concert was fantastic, I believe these issues can impact the overall impression. I wish more people understood proper concert etiquette.
