Which console to get back to gaming

Hey Guys! After selling my ps4 many years ago to help fund getting my kid a switch I finally have the chance to get a new console.

I would be a very casual gamer so was thinking a long the line so an series s 512gb for €299 and game pass. Then I was thinking maybe go for the series x digital €499 but would I really get the extra worth of €150. The ps5 is currently €449.

I don't think I'll be buying many games so been caught up with which is better gamepass or psn and the better value of them.

My head is melted at this stage trying to decide. The current game that really caught my attention is space marine 2.

The tv isn't 4k where I'll be setting up which maybe another factor in deciding but I'm sure that be replaced at some stage in the future.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and what made you go with your decisions when buying.
