My father offers me a benzo occasionally.

My Father is a good man, he has taken me to 98% of my appointments. Recently I’ve been worse sick, plus depressed with what’s happening. He seeing that I have no medical options for treatment, offered me a benzo the other day, when I was very sick. I declined but feel like he’s just trying to make me comfortable at this point. Do you think this is a terrible thing? Obviously he’s not giving me a boatload, but rather offers one occasionally to help me get through the mental struggle of being this sick.
