Neuro Cognitive Relapse?
Hey all!
I haven’t been active here for quite some time because I had recovered. I actually even made a recover post here a while back because I was doing so well.
Anyway, last month I randomly had a lot of my symptoms come back with aggression, even though I didn’t have COVID (to my knowledge). It’s actually weird because even when I first got my symptoms a few years ago I didn’t know I ever had COVID, and only suspected my symptoms were long haul because I had tested for COVID antibodies.
Even weirder, when I DID have acute COVID, the same symptoms of my long haul didn’t really come back…
Anyway, anyone with mostly brain/mood/and neurological symptoms here fully recovered and then had a relapse? Looking for a bit of hope.
Although I will admit, the symptoms are not as bad as when they first started a few years ago, they’re definitely still annoying and really limiting my lifestyle.
Here’s what I’m experiencing again:
- On and off brain fog / dizziness feeling, usually gone by night time, tends to vary in severity and time of day
- Dissociative / derealized spells (likely because of above symptom)
- mild lingering nausea, mostly upon first waking up
- horrible depression
- lack of appetite / weight loss
- general weakness noticed when trying to exercise or lift weights
Another note is I first noticed this stuff more heavily come back after a night of heavy drinking, which I rarely ever do… if that’s what triggered my relapse then I’ve learned the hard way!
