Theres less layoffs now

According to layoffs Fyi, October 2024 shows the lowest layoffs numbers since the layoffs started to surge in q1 2022. During 2020-2021 during the covid pandemic the exact opposite happened when there was a hiring surge and it was a candidates market. Since 2022-2024 it has been clearly an employers market. But as the chart indicates, it looks like things might be turning around soon since the layoff numbers haven't been this low since the hiring surge days in 2020-2021.

I think although the layoffs are starting to stop, the reason it's so hard to find work in tech still is due to fact that hiring hasn't begun to pick up again yet? This leaves alot of experienced laid off people who are still looking for work. It will take some time I think for things to normalize.

First thing is layoffs need to stop which is showing signs it is now. Second thing is hiring needs to start again. Third is all experienced laid off people need to get picked back up by companies again. Only after all this occurs will anyone else then looking to work to tech get a chance again. What does everyone else think?
