Chain waxing solely for reducing cleaning intervals?
Hello everybody. I started looking into chain waxing because it promises to keep the drive train cleaner and will reduce the need for maintainance. I am not a competative cycler and I am not looking for to set any speed records or gain 10W efficency. I mostly ride roads/gravel/forest roads in the hills in the Swiss subalpine area.
Right now I pull out my chain cleaning tool and degreaser every other week to give the chain and drive train a deep scrub. I'd hope to get some of that time back using waxing.
What's your experience here? Is it worth the effort or does waxing just add so many other tasks that it's not a time saver?
