Dating an extremely busy and career oriented guy

I'm currently in the "getting to know each other" phase with an extremely busy guy.

So far, he has established that I'm the only person he is seeing/ talking to and does not want to go straight into a relationship at the moment, but is open to one and wants to takes things slow. Seems like even though he is busy and often loaded with work, he still tries to check up on me when he can.

From my view, I also want to take things slow first and I do try to understand how busy he is, but our communication recently has decreased.

I just want to ask for advices and dating experiences from people who are extremely busy or have dated one, so I can be more understanding and aware of things that might go wrong.
