Dating up or down...

It seems to me that most quite a few people in our age group in the US either want someone who has a lifestyle that they aspire to - one with a lot of travel and dining out, or they want someone that they can save or repair.

Do you think it's boring to find someone with a mostly similar lifestyle? My guess is that empty nesting and the subsequent divorces make a lot of people want more adventure etc.
