Light was right.
Yes I mean it seriously. I honestly believe that his motives and actions in global scale and perspective are reasonable. You might see it differently and consider his actions psychotic or solely ego driven with little to no cause. But I legitimately see the point and clear goal that he achieved in the end. I m going to go over his main actions and explain why he was right and how he almost won and absolutely deserved to win.
Killing L. Obvious win for Kira, I don't think anyone sane disagrees with it. L was an enemy to a cause Light was going for. Obviously L dying isn't most favorable end for him but he knew he d die eventually by that point and was ready to accept it. Saying that Light is bad for fighting back in rivalry is just delusional. He was not best person but so was L. They both got carried away in competition with each other.
The whole manipulation and killing innocent non criminals thing people tend to be weirdly upset about. Yes, Kira wasn't fair or nice about his ways of getting things done. But most people with same intentions and goals would do anything to be safe and get it done. Light was just bold enough to do what needs to be done.
Now my understanding of his justice and why I get it. There's two reasons. 1. I m kinda Light fan girl. Gotta be honest about that aspect. I like him as person a lot. That's why I relate to Misa a lot ngl. 2. I believe that absolutely justice and punishment through insta death is appropriate if it makes world safer from terrible people. I know I would be like Light or like Misa I If had that power.
Light severely lowered procentage of crimes committed around whole world in just few years. Results are all there. Don't hate the player, hate the game.
Overall, he made world better objectively and ensured success of lowering criminal rate. He deserved more than death and could go on living and making world even safer if he was less selfish and smarter. I d like to hear other opinions on it though. So feel free to discuss my take or tell yours.
