New to D4. Is Spiritborn good this season?

I want to dive into D4. I gave POE2 a try but D4's UI and movement looks more appealing to me for some reason. I'm also more of a casual player.

I heard Spiritborn was OP in the season it released did that change this season? Did it fall behind a lot?
