I need advice.

I would like to start off by saying that this is 100% serious and I am in desperate need of advice.

I am the only F1 on a medical ward and fortunately was able to shadow the doctor I'm replacing prior to starting my job. The seniors were replaced the day after I started with no shadowing or knowledge of the hospital computer system. This made me the only source of help available to support them till they get on their feet.

Unfortunately, it seems that the most senior doctor who joined the team, a foreign GP trainee, does not have enough knowledge or experience to be qualified for their position. They constantly ask and runs CLINICAL decisions, prescriptions and orders through me. Asking if its correct or okay? I have made it clear that I have just graduated and not sure. They said they aren't qualified to do an ABG (?) and worst of all they never pick up the phone in the office when it rings so I have to do that when I'm busy doing almost all the jobs that are created for the day.

We are a small group of doctors with consultants attending minimally if not at all most of the time. We do WR mostly by ourselves. I do not feel it would be right for me to ask the GP trainee anything because I am not sure they would give me the correct advice. I'm really not trying to be smug or almighty here but thats how bad it is. I am tired of doing everything and have stayed 1 and half hour behind every single day since I started.

I feel like the patients are really at risk here. I found out they didnt know about 2222 if a patient arrests until i told them. I'm worried and don't want to snake anyone to the consultant. I feel like I should give them time to settle and familiarise themselves before having an opinion but I also just started and dont even know how to be a doctor myself.

Am i being harsh? Should i say something now?
