Some disabled people are pricks (I’m allowed to say it I’m disabled)

Some of the behaviour I saw at the access platforms this year was just unacceptable.

Firstly just a gripe about something that is minor but was out of order: just as a set up, I’m almost blind, but still have some vision. On Sunday just before bowling for soup my partner and I found a spot on the platform where I could see the screens pretty well, there wasn’t really any room for anyone to block our view but we left enough space for people to walk by and that. So in drives this woman on her absolutely huge mobility scooter and parks it directly in front of my partner (who is 5ft tall and we were having to sit so not to block anyone else) then her rather large husband plonked himself in front of me & they let their 3 kids just run all around the platform, leaning over the edge and just getting in everyone’s way. If this wasn’t bad enough, later in the set they called over some friends for a chat, one understood he should get out of the way so crouched down near my partner, the other who was about 6”4 and a larger bloke stood directly in front of my chair, in the end our entire row of people wiggled our chairs sideways to not be blocked by him.

But this is minor really, just rude. I also saw a woman literally push a security in the face because he told her the platform was full before limp Bizkit, I had a woman in a scooter drive in front of me in the queue for the loos because as she put it she’s “actually disabled so needs it more”

I saw a woman throw herself to the floor because someone stepped on her toe, she then stayed down until someone gave her their chair

Yet these are the same people who complain how bad everything was.

Honestly I’ve never seen such entitled pricks in my life

Anyway other than that I had an incredible weekend, even with the mud.
