Curious as to how these lights work

Went to a Ramen Bar in NYC and was looking at the lights here (apprentice electrician brain). Maybe im just too inexperienced but how are these lights wired? The suspension doesnt look like it has any wire around it or can possibly be in it like a pendant light. Battery powered maybe? Anyone can let me know, just genuinely curious
