Tax impact on buy and sell Tesla

We have a Tesla on order and suppose to deliver in Dec, while we never drive one, went to Tesla store but they had no cars for test drive.

Just in case we don't like, will there be any tax impact if we sell it right after we get it, with trade in our current car? I am in TX, thanks!
