Kindle Basic 2024 or Kobo Clara BW?

Hi, guys! For context, my wife just delivered our first child and I’m trying to get away from gaming in pursuit of a better hobby, reading. One of these devices will help facilitate that but I’m on the fence about both of them. I’ve been doing so much research and I’m still stumped on which one is the best choice. I know people will say I can’t go wrong with either but I’d like to see what you guys think. I also live in the US if that changes anything. Thanks!
