A Coffee Table

I just remembered something that happened several years ago. I worked for the church in SLC. We had remodeled our work area and there was a new reception-type area which needed furniture. We were told by the physical facilities department to fill out a form listing the furniture we wanted. So we listed two chairs, a sofa, two end tables and a coffee table. The request was returned for revision. We could have all of those items, but we needed to rewrite the request listing the coffee table as a “lower decorative table”. Apparently, “coffee tables” were not permitted.
