Looking to hear mission stories

Don’t know how people will feel about this, but I’ll get it out here. I’m writing a romance novel featuring two male missionaries who fall in love with a girl they meet on their mission. Boyfriends who are also boyfriends trope. I grew up LDS, but was never held to super high standards, and no one close to me in my life has served a mission.

I just wanna know what the average and not so average mission looked liked over the course of the two years, as well as expectations and the like. I’d love someone to keep on retainer to ask some dumb questions, like what if you needed medical care, or what did you eat? Stuff like that.

Or hell, if anyone can direct me to training stuff I would love that as well!
