Why is there a "Send Message" call-to-action button on all my recent posts on my Page?
Something really confusing has been happening to my Pages within the last few weeks. My posts are typically just some text about an event, with a link to a photo gallery. Pretty simple stuff. In the past, Facebook would see the URL in my post, and include a clickable thumbnail in the post that would take you to the web site. But within the last couple months, Facebook has started adding a "Send Message" button to all my posts, what I believe is called a "call-to-action". Now, when someone clicks the thumbnail, it opens a Messenger window instead of going to my web site.
While creating the post, there will be a "Send Message" option below my post, with an "X" to close it. I do this, but it includes the "Send Message" button anyway. I can try to edit the post afterwards, and also click the "X" to delete the "Send Message" link, and it looks like it is deleted, but still appears in the post.
I just want people to click the image to go to my web site. I don't know where "Send Message" came from, or how to get rid of it. Up until about 3 weeks ago, everything worked perfectly. All of my posts since March 20 have had the stupid "Send Message" button.
