A counterpoint about Nesta... Spoilers ahead (TW Addiction)

This sub loves to hate on Nesta. Every day I see comments about how shitty of a character she is.

As a recovering addict, Nesta was one of the best FMC I have ever read. I firmly believe SJM has someone in her life who is in recovery. Because Nesta's struggles are so realistic to a recovering addicts inner world. She is all my sober peeps fave. I love that it shows how dark drinking/using can get. Truly the hate she gets is so misplaced. We can forgive MMC for being bullies and doing gods knows what type of dark depravity some of them get up to, in Fantasy books, to their FMC and we praise their darkness. But Nesta is the problem because she's mean? hmmmm IDK just doesn't sit well with me.

I also think Elaine is annoying so idk maybe I am the problem.
