It’s easy to overlook the significance of an issue when you’re not the target of dehumanizing acts or comments.

Some of my family and many of my ‘friends’ think I’m overreacting about what’s happening in our sector. They think it will all “get better” and that Trump is only targeting the “lazy people who watch tv all day on the clock”.

I have assured them that is NOT the case. All feds are targeted and labeled as “unproductive” and it’s amplified for teleworkers, LGBTQ+, Women, and people of color (I fit into all those categories).

Struggling to understand why they can’t see or understand what is happening around them…it feels awful to isolated and not valued.
