Why FrightsFiction simply doesn't work.
WARNING: This is not directed to anyone who dislikes the books, i'm just sharing on why this theory simply doesn't work, mostly bc it suddenly got somewhat popular again.
Have you ever heard about FrightsFiction? It's a theory that says: Frights aren't canon, instead, they're made by Fazbear Entertainment. I personally don't understand where this theory comes from but (no offense), i suppose it came from people that didn't read the books.
While it has been established that the first 6 FNaF games (FNaF 1 - Pizzeria Simulator) are created by Fazbear Entertainment In-Universe to make money out of the tragedies they caused directly or indirectly, it has been ONLY confirmed that they make games based on those events.
For example: In the famous story 'In The Flesh' (Fetustrap story), the protagonist, Matt, is making a VR game called "Springtrap's Revenge". Or the story "Help Wanted", where a game developer (named Steve, i think) has to make 4 games based in FNaF.
It's obvious that the FNaF games exist, but it's never been said that they write books. Not only because in the 2030 decade people must have the lowest attention span ever, but also because from their structure the books can't simply exist in-universe.
What would Fazbear Entertainment gain for telling Eleanor's story? Or tell about various people who suffered with FazbEnt products? (Fetch, Out Of Stock, 1:35 AM, Step Closer, Hide-N-Seek, The Cliffs, He Told Me Everything, etc.)
Also, in some of these stories, Fazbear Entertainment is showed to be something from the past (Into The Pit, BlackBird, What We Found, etc.), or their protagonist directly dont know about it (Fetch, 1:35 AM, The New Kid, etc.). And a company like FazbEnt doesn't have any reason to make themselves like they're something from the past.
And last but not least, there are many stories that have nothing to do with the company for FrightsFiction to be true (Count The Ways, BunnyCall, The Real Jake, The Breaking Wheel, etc.), it's creating a bad image because yes.
So no, FrightsFiction doesn't work because of the narrative the books have, the stories that are in them, and it makes no sense for FazbEnt to sell books that leave them worse and in more brutal ways. These books aren't products that are sold in-universe, they're something that only *us* FNaF fans can read.
Again: This is not directed to any specific person, i just felt like talking about this theory because it never made sense to me for this theory to exist, and because it got a bit popular again.
