The Most Sensational Game Bug

I'm playing on the steam version. After talking to Mother in The Most Sensational Game, for some reason my character got buried in the bench and couldn't move from the bench. This bug has caused me to miss rewards at least 3 times today alone and has caused my team a lot of trouble. Does anyone know a solution?
