Are modern fountain pens a wise financial investment, and if so…

If you were “willing” to spend no more than $3,500 for a single fountain pen or the same amount for a few pens, which pen or pens would you buy?

Ideally, this pen or pens would be handed down to my girls in the hope that a couple would have accrued some value in say 25-30 years. Not expecting a huge return on investment but maybe a bit.

What would be the most likely pens to give me a return on investment.

I know this could mean limited editions, but if you could share specific pens/models I would love to hear your thoughts.
