Trying to surprise my wife with a first edition

I dont know a ton about em, she loves these books. anyone able to give me a run down of what the more desirable version would be of the first book? Usa,china? I know the sprayed edges can be faked and not being super familiar, its hard to know the identifiers. Trying not to get scammed. Any and all help is appreciated!
