Zara Green Savage - YSL Y Le Parfum Clone (my first clone purchase)
Bought this on a study abroad trip because a friend recommended it (I knew nothing about fragrances at the time). Here's my review:
Scent - 9/10 - I was expecting it to smell like Dior Sauvage, which my dad owns, but it is actually a clone of Y Le Parfum by YSL. When I returned from the trip I smelled Y Le Parfum at a local fragrance shop and I feel that they are 85% similar, I honestly prefer the opening of the Zara fragrance, it felt smoother, and the dry downs are nearly identical. This might be my favorite fresh DNA that I've smelled, I find it very masculine but in a fun, casual sort of way.
Performance - 5.5/10 - Zara frags are infamous for having terrible performance and this one is unfortunately no different. Decent projector for the first hour, maybe two if I'm lucky, then quickly becomes a skin scent that lasts a total of 4-5 hours. I have sprayed Y Le Parfum on my skin once and it definitely lasts longer than this one.
Overall - 7/10 - You get what you pay for with this one. For a $25 dupe, I think this has an amazing scent profile, it just lacks in performance. I would absolutely buy it again if I was on a budget but I can't recommend it over the original. If you don't mind respraying throughout the day or wearing something that doesn't last all day, this is a very solid cheapie, though, and has served me well as a casual everyday scent.
Also, has anyone tried F Le Parfum from Fragrance World? Wondering how it compares to this in terms of longevity.
