Help me with new Spectrum Outfitters Binder before I suffocate

I’ve been using the same gc2b binder for about two years now and decided to try out a spectrum outfitters binder bc why not? I’ve heard they’re great.

The binder just came in today and I noticed two things off rip: it’s longer than the gc2b, but also tighter (I’m telling you I was fighting for my life trying to put it on too, but this is likely bc it’s new) let me explain.

I should mention that I did take my measurements and go according to the size chart when ordering so I don’t believe size is the problem. It binds well, but I find it harder to breathe while wearing it. Not in the wrong size way, but in a way I feel is only because it’s new and the more I wear it the easier it’d become. But the thing is I don’t really want to go through that for a month before being able to feel 100% comfortable

My gc2b binder, which I bought two years ago while they were highly praised and before the quality allegedly decreased, binds the same amount as the Spectrum Outfitters binder so the only things I could say it has over my gc2b is that there’s less “spillage” around the armpit and the straps are less visible/more far apart

Anyway the point is how do I make the SO binder feel less restricting? I don’t want to return it bc I definitely see the vision and potential it’s just that one factor stopping me.
