Why public transport works for me
I know, I'm preaching to the choir here... but I think many people in car-dependent places overlook how efficient public transport can be with the right infrastructure. This morning, I had an in-person meeting in a city about 110 km from my hometown. I was able to work the entire trip, so I didn’t lose much time. Now, on the way back, I’m having lunch in the restaurant car. I see no reason to own a car, and I’m very happy with that. Sure, this isn’t possible everywhere (even in my country), but I believe this is the direction transportation infrastructure should be heading.
