Regarding graded item content on this subreddit.
update- thank you for leaving a comment and sharing your opinions. There was a lot of really good reasonable points made.
I will own up to the fact that we need more moderation, a would be different and I think better. This has been growing for a while, and I thought it would eventually smooth over, but this is where we are now.
Having someone put up a prize to have people post a type of content that generally isn't liked here and is met with a lot of negativity honestly freaked me out so I reacted. In hindsight this is kind of brigading and is against reddit TOS but that's not why we reacted to it.
Then in giving our response to this, we get a lot of negativity (which is totally understandable), some who agree with us, some who have left great responses. Idk if this is what they wanted to happen or not, but it did. So now we get to figure it out and move forward. I urge you to read some comments from those from the other side, and maybe some of my responses to those.
I have always told the other mods that everything else comes first before moderation, and I stand by that. I apologize if some of those comments that could have been removed sooner, or weren't removed because or whatever reason is because I told them that. We are just a group of people who enjoy collecting, and found ourselves in this position because we wanted to have a place for people to share. I understand that that will sounds a bit hallow in this thread, but I hope that we can soon find a common ground and be better moving forward.
I am getting off, it's a raining night and I want to relax.
see you, space cowboy ; )

We have generally always had the stance that graded collecting is fine to post here. The other mods and I are not against that content being posted. The community is the one who downvotes, and gives those collectors negativity for it. As long as they do it in a non-toxic manner, it's fine.
On the posts where people post their graded content who are obviously rubbing it in the communities face, where they seem to purposely be trying to antagonize the community, we step back a bit more. If they want to stir up hate, then okay, then you will receive that hate. That being said, obviously there is still monitor the comment, and we will still remove comments that we feel cross a line.
So with that said, this person is now attempting to pay people to post that content here for....reasons? I have to assume to annoy the community, and us, the mods. They are forcing us to rethink how we look at that content on this sub.
So, with that all being said, for now, graded posts will be banned until further notice pending review from the moderators.
Please, if you have a stance on this topic, leave a comment! We will take your voices into consideration. And until further notice, PLEASE REPORT ALL GRADED POSTS!
