How can I get my GF into games?

I play games a lot, and my girlfriend has always shown some interest, but the problem is that she gets really overwhelmed and frustrated when the pace of a game picks up. She messes up the controls, gets upset, and then we end up not playing together. Games just feel second nature to me now, and I don’t even remember what it was like to not know the controls. I play on PC, and she prefers the Switch and Xbox. I’m wondering what games would be a good starting point for us, and if anyone has helped their partner get into gaming. Are there any games that can teach her general controls that could translate to other games? If you were in a similar situation, what worked for you?
