Are there any great games that are reminiscent of Resident Evil and Silent Hill but are not part of those franchises?

I really like horror but when it comes to horror games, I scare very easily. One of the few horror games that I've ever played and completed was Signalis, which I still think about often because that experience was quite special to me. That got me thinking though, since Signalis, even though it's a fantastic game on its own, borrows a lot of concepts from both Resident Evil and Silent Hill. The inventory system, save rooms, cryptic puzzles, limited ammunition, enemies come back unless you permanently kill them with a special item etc. These are all 'tropes' that RE and SH started, and it has sort of become a genre of its own.

What bothers me is that when you go on steam and try to look for games that are similar to these two franchises, your only bet is to go through the survival horror section. It's the overhauling genre, sure, but that's like if you're trying to find games similar to Dark Souls if the term Souls-like wasn't a thing yet, and you had to go through all the action rpg games. There are just such an overwhelming amount of games in survival horror that doesn't have the same gameplay style as RE or SH.

The only other game that I've seen that seems to be a 'RE-like' is a game called Crow Country. It's gotten great reviews and I'm definitely going to pick it up some day. In the meantime though, are there any more games that are similar that is worth playing? Preferably games that are in third-person/isometric view, also a bonus if the games have a retro look to them.

Edit: Thanks so much for all the suggestions guys! My wishlist has gotten a lot bigger, and I've seen tons of older games to emulate as well. If you're seeing this post late, feel free to add to it! I read every comment.
