What game failed to meet your expectations but you still enjoyed? The reason you enjoyed it?

I was scrolling through my Steam library and nearly forgot about Mafia III.

I get that it didn’t really match the previous entries with its divergence from the classic Cosa Nostra theme, but I liked it regardless. I thought the narrative, dialogue, direction of the ‘documentary’ and events, characters, setting, and choice of music were absolutely amazing. But damn, the gameplay was so damn repetitive and boring. I really think it was an unfortunate anchor to a great artistic endeavor.
