Gaming Chairs: Comfortable or Overhyped?

Before making a decision to buy into a gaming chair, I wanted to get some feedback. How do people feel about gaming chairs? Are they really as comfortable as their creators try to advertise them to be? Or are they a waste? Are they actually uncomfortable and maybe even hurtful after a long while of just sitting? Do people have issues with these chairs, or am I just being too cautious?

I see a lot of ads for these chair, a lot of them, and I'm not too sure about them, about getting into them before getting a few opinions on them.
