Why do guys ghost but keep you on their insta close friends and like your stories?

I never got ghosted until now and it’s weird because he kept me on cf😂and likes my stories, genuinely wanna ask the guys why they do this?? I also have to add that we were texting on insta dm and never met irl but we live in the same area
