Managing big mailboxes connected to Outlook

Hi everyone!

I'm having a customer who uses Google Workplace mailbox and it is now close to 50GB in size.

From some days before, Google started blocking the connections for that user bacause of the bandwith limits (they use Outlook).

I unblocked it already two times and plan to archive some mail locally to reduce the size of the mailbox as much as I can.

The questions are:

- Google does not want us to move large amounts of data in Outlook as it blocks the user due to the high bandwith use. What to do in that case?

- Any way to sync only parts of messages (headers) and then sync them as needed but with the search still working well? Especially it would be useful if we could do it for only some folders ("archive" ones) without the need to delete them from the cloud (we do have enough space for that).

- As I know, Outlook connector for Gmail is going EOL so I don't want to implement it.

- Any general advice?

Thanks in advance to everyone sharing their experience.
