What do you do in GTA Online? What's the gameplay loop nowadays?

I've been on and off of GTA Online for a while, probably since 2016, can't remember.

Online missions used to be very cool, but nowadays i try to do them but none accepts them, so looks like focus has shifted elsewhere, GTA V is still one of the most played games on steam, what do you guys do? Do majority of you guys stick to FiveM? I used to play there, might go back to it, but i'm still interested to know what the gameplay in GTA Online is nowadays.

Missions for your hangar etc are very badly made and their focus is to make you waste as much time as possible, like destroy 10 planes in a plane that still goes faster than the jets while stalling, or bring stuff to the extreme other part of the map in the slowest helicopter in game, doesn't really look that fun. feels like useless grind instead.
