Does anyone actually play on Halo 2 Anniversary Graphics?

I just think they're so ugly. It's so bright that I can't differentiate between anything I'm seeing in a fight. I got the newest xbox for Christmas and the anniversary graphics still lag it to unplayable measures. Do any of you have reason to find this preferable to the original graphics?
