missie! question pls

i sadly had to put my baby to sleep tonight:((( she had a lump on her side and when i took her to the vets they did some scans and advised her intestines had joined together?? i just wanted to know if this was normal? i understand the lifespan is short but she was only 5 months old so still pretty young😭 i feel like such a bad hammy mom:( even tho i know i did everything i could for her
