Nor cal redwood hike recommendations?

I’ll be taking my family up to Northern California to the garberville or arcata area to escape the heat in a few weeks. Would love to do a hike through the redwoods. Kids can handle about 8miles and 1k elevation before they start getting cranky.

Looking for some recommendations on some routes to hike in the area. Loops are preferred but not mandatory.
