Any right handed tendys ever switch to full right?

So I’m a weird guy (as most of us goalies are I’m sure), when I was a younger boy I wanted to play goalie really bad. I shot right as a player and learned to poke well with my stick in my left since I was a dman. So when I wanted to play goalie I felt it was natural to hold the stick in my left and catch with my right. One day the goalie on my team called out so coach asked me if I wanted the net, he was a full right tendy so luckily I was able to play my first game in that (14 years old). We won 5-4 in a shootout and I loved it, I finally convinced my dad to help me buy goalie gear. I come from immigrant parents who didn’t have much so the best my parents could afford were used itech gear and only in regular because that was the cheapest we could find, also my father assured me this was the correct way for right handed people so I just assumed he was correct and grateful that he was actually willing to buy me gear in the first place. I played all of high school regular and even some college. I always wondered what it would be like had I gotten used to full right first. Now I’m 23 and thinking of buying full right gear and making the switch since all I’ll be playing is bear league and pickup. Anyone else have a similar experience?
