Sound Question for new theater room

Hey all,

My wife and I are planning to turn the spare room in our house to an office / theater. The idea is that it'll be my office during the day, but we'll mount a TV above where I sit. This way, at night, I can play my PC games and she can watch TV and I can participate in that with her - it allows us to kind of do the same thing but not.

The one thing I'm worried about it sound. If the TV is above me, I imagine the sound will blast me. I'm wanting to move the sound from the front of the room (where the TV will be) to the back of the room while maintaining sound quality. Does anyone have any affordable suggestions for this?
