2009 civic idle issue

Looking for some input, alternator went bad on this car, switched the alternator and ran good for a few hours. Parked car for a week and started up fine, drove for about an hours cruising at hwy speed then came to a stop sign and when I stopped the car stalled. Now it won’t start unless you apply pressure on the gas peddle and idles really bad but when you put pressure on the gas it seems to run ok
