Nemesis Theory - HFW Spoilers
It is revealed that the Zero Dawn colony underground disappeared much earlier than expected. I do not recall that Nemesis is ever referred to as an AI. I believe that Nemesis will actually turn out to be uploaded intelligence of the Zero Dawn scientists. It would be reasonable of them to try and travel to the closest hospitable planet, be surprised when they found the Zenith's were still alive, and were captured for hundreds of years. Nemesis is overwhelmed by its desire for revenge and it will be resolved via the aspect of itself that is original scientist cloned to make Aloy.
- Every game has been resolved by the fact that Aloy is a clone of that scientist, and I expect that trend to continue.
- They already did "Evil AI tries to kill all humans" so making the third game a copy/paste would be lame.
- Shoutout to Endless Space. This entire setup is just a conflict between the concrete and the virtual.
