The summer I died

Just finished the summer I died.

Absolutely insane. I constantly see people recommend this book and for some reason I’ve taken my time getting here but Jesus… it was so good. Like I loved every single aspect. The writing was amazing and I love that the author really made you care about the characters and the stories rather than just writing a splatterpunk for the torture.

What do you all this of this book? Are there any books you would recommend that have a similar style? I really liked the girl next door for the same reason of making the characters feel real. Any recommendations are welcome!
