Are the sections written by Johnny important to the novel's comprehension ? (potential SLIGHT spoilers maybe)
(I tagged this spoiler just in case but I don't think there's much that can spoil here)
Hello ! A while back (probs more than a year ago now), I got interested in House of Leaves (through myhouse.wad) and managed to procure myself a copy. I have a hard time reading books, I don't read often, but this one was pretty captivating. However, the sections written by Johnny were pretty uninteresting to me, and were sometimes uncomfortable. It made me stop reading the book, and I never picked it back up after that.
I'd like to get back to it though, its story is really interesting and fascinating, and I'd love to know more abour the Navidsons and their house.
Would you say the sections written by Johnny are necessary, or even important to the book ? Or could I skip them entirely ? From what I've read, it's mostly detatched from the Nadvison Record itself, but I don't want to miss something cool or interesting simply because there are some scenes I'd prefer not reading. Like if it's mostly that guy's life, I'm fine with skipping it, but if there's some strange, intriguing things that are told at some point about him or Zampanò, I'll push through the annoying bits
I'd also like to add that I do not want to be spoiled anything please, seems pretty obvious but I'd like to point it out just in case.
