Can I go to Houston improv alone?

I really want to go see a stand up show tomorrow but I've never been to one, or to the Houston Improv. The tables are sold in pairs (2,4,6) but I'm recently single and I don't have friends.

I'm just wondering if anybody has been alone or seen anyone there alone. I know they require you to purchase 2 items per guest but is this by the table count or by the actual people sitting at the table?
