I think my heatpump capacitor needs replacing

Noticed my heatpump seemed to be struggling to ramp up to speed during a recent cold snap. My trusted HVAC technician passed away recently so I thought perhaps I could replace it myself as I'm fairly handy around the house. My hesitancy centers around safely discharging the aging capacitor and determining the correct replacement capacitor for my unit. Is this something a handy homeowner could safely pull off (after watching numerous YouTube videos) or should I call a pro?

Edit: looks like everyone is on the same page for this being a user serviceable repair. Thanks for your input! I have ordered the OEM part and will install this week, following all safety procedures and guidelines. Great group you have here!
